GH ARMOR SYSTEMS LITEX IIIA LX02 ACHIEVES DEA PROTOCOL COMPLIANCE

(TENNESSEE) – November 16, 2015 – GH Armor Systems, a leading provider of high performance protective solutions to the military, federal and law enforcement communities, is pleased to announce the LiteX IIIA LX02 soft armor ballistic solution is now special threat tested to the DEA Protocol (2009).

The LiteX LX02 series of Level II and IIIA armor is certified to the rigorous NIJ Standard-0101.06 for ballistic resistance, meeting benchmarks for new and conditioned performance, as well as special threat tested against the 9mm 127gr SXT +P+ and .357 SIG 125gr GDHP. The DEA Protocol offers an additional layer of ballistic testing while also addressing fragmentation protection. Ballistic threats are the 9mm 124gr FM, 9mm 127gr +P+ T-Series, .40 165gr S&W GDHP in multiple conditions – dry, wet (20 minute submersion), hot (150° F for 15+ hours) and cold (-20° F for 15+ hours). Fragmentation threats are 2gr, 4gr, 16gr and 64gr RCC fragment-simulating projectiles.

“The LiteX is our most popular ballistic series and has been widely accepted due to its high levels of performance and comfort,” said Chris Grado, Director of Sales & Marketing at GH Armor Systems. “These additional test results further validate the LiteX IIIA as a competitive solution for law enforcement agencies seeking optimal protection for their officers.”
